The Boy Scouts Headquarters at the Marriot Center needed major repair done to its Plaza as well as an updated handicapped accessable entrance. The original stone plaza and brick walls were badly deteriorated. Architects at Work Inc. repaired the damaged plaza and also accomplished building the site to fit the ADA compliance. A large marble obelisk was erected in the Plaza, engraved with the names of the members of the 1910 Society and the Scouting Heritage Society. A special Limestone Wall of Honor was designed and built to commend major contributors to the NCABSA Campaign. The Boy Scouts wanted to recognize Donors through engraved brick pavers, so the Architects used this element to design a handicap ramp walkway leading to the front of the building. The landscape was enhanced with evergreen bushes and decorative trees, and in the summer flowers decorate the entrance of the building. The lighting was arranged in such a way that at night the focus of the building is highlighted on the obelisk and wall alongside the front entrance.
